This Weekend in Westchester: Easter Egg Hunts, a New Japanese Sculpture Exhibit & Homemade Birch Beer

Plus: A Great Gatsby night out, playtime with goats & an inside look at one of the most infamous duos in rock and roll history.

Hello again, Neighbors! Welcome to the April 17th edition of the Westchester Weekly.

This weekend’s shaping up to be a stunner — some sunshine, temps in the 70s, and that sweet spot between spring chill and summer sweat. In other words: fantastic weather to get outside and stay outside.

We’ve packed this week’s issue with fresh ways to do just that, from scenic trails and fun runs to outdoor events that make the most of the season. And don’t worry — we still have our usual mix of family-friendly fun and grown-up activities on tap.

Scroll on for your weekend game plan.

  • 🍃 Wilderness Foraging Workshop at Stone Barns Center

  • 🎤 A Songwriter’s Circle at Bethany Arts Community

  • 💨 Spring 5k Fun Run in Armonk

  • 🎶 Yoga and Serenity in the Gardens

🌟 Restaurant of the Week 🌟

Tucked inside what looks like a charming Victorian home in Mount Kisco, Pour feels like stepping into a well-kept, ancient secret. Past the front porch, where regulars sip craft cocktails, you’ll find a softly lit warren of rooms that feels more like a friend’s home than a bar...if that friend happened to have a world-class whiskey collection and impeccable taste in lighting. The original floor plan remains intact, creating a series of cozy, candlelit nooks perfect for whispered conversation, while the main bar – small, warm, and humming with Gatsby-esque charm – offers a livelier setting without ever tipping into chaos.

Behind the bar, the Pour crew are part barkeep, part spirit whisperer: masterfully stirring Negronis to perfection, talking inside baseball about obscure bourbons, and making everyone feel like a regular. With warm pretzels on the table, rare ryes behind the bar, and boutique wines in your glass, Pour is the kind of place you want to stumble into and then never leave.
