Welcome to the Westchester Weekly!
August is starting to feel like it’s flying by – and this weekend is making a pretty convincing case for slowing it down. Across Westchester, the calendar is packed with live music, art, comedy, history, gardens, markets, and plenty of reasons to stay out a little later.
From Jefferson Starship and Pretty Lights to jazz, open mics, dance workshops, film, pickleball, and family art, there’s a little bit of everything happening from Friday through Sunday. And with summer concerts still rolling strong across the county, this feels like one of those weekends where you can build an entire itinerary without ever going very far.
So grab the calendar, call your friends, and make the most of these long August days. Summer may have an expiration date, but we’re not there yet. Let’s get into it!

Friday (Aug. 21): 🌤️ Partly sunny & comfortable – High ~80°F / Low ~65°F – A nice, seasonable start with a mix of sun and clouds. Comfortable enough for outdoor plans without the oppressive summer heat.
Saturday (Aug. 22): 🌦️ Cloudy, humid & showery – High ~74°F / Low ~66°F – The roughest day of the weekend. Cooler and pretty gray, with a couple of showers possible. Not necessarily a washout, but definitely keep an umbrella handy.
Sunday (Aug. 23): ⛈️ Humid with showers & a thunderstorm – High ~82°F / Low ~63°F – Warmer again, but the atmosphere gets more unsettled. Showers and a possible thunderstorm could interrupt outdoor plans, particularly later in the day.
